Time to Explore!
Exploring Identity, Community, & Purpose
As Associate Dean of Students and Dean of the Sophomore Class, I'm here to help students transition to the Lawrence community and explore during their time here. In particular, I help support students in their sophomore year, students that transferred to Lawrence, and all first generation college students.
For many students in these categories - especially those in their second year in college - there is a push and need for self-reflection, decision-making, personal discernment...which can be stressful and scary. There's several resources and programs available to students at Lawrence to help guide you through your own self-discovery of who you are now, who your people are, and who you want to become.
Know that while you have many folks on campus who can be a resource - your academic advisor, faculty members, your CA and RHD, multiple administrative staff across campus - you also have me. I specialize in supporting you through this exploration. If you're ever unsure where to turn for anything, you can reach out at my info below. I may not have the answer, however I will do my best to point you in the right direction!
Please check back often for updates on information and programming specific and special to you! You can also check out updates and the latest happenings on my Instagram @sophomore_dean_rose
