Are you looking for transportation into and around the community? A number of options are available to assist you in getting off-campus as well as back to campus.

Campus Safety 

Call or text Campus Safety for transportation assistance 920-419-6999 for the following needs: 

  • Safety walks/rides if you are sick, injured, or feel unsafe
  • Ride to local pharmacies for urgent prescription pickup
  • Ride to medical providers; done at the request of Lawrence Health Center staff

Lawrence Loop Shuttle Hours & Service Area

  • Weekdays: 8 a.m. – 11 p.m. (On-campus rides only)
  • Weekends: 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Request a ride in the app, or call 920-419-6793 to arrange your ride. We are focused on academic and athletic requiremnts to support the efforts of graduating.  All other rides will be considered secondary.  Please consider alternatives such as Valley Transit, or a paid service.  See below for additional information regarding Valley Transit options.
  • Students, staff and faculty will show their ID upon riding the shuttle

Weekly Shopping Schedule

All shopping shuttles depart at 5 p.m. and may make extra trips based on demand.

  • Tuesdays: Target (Kensington)
    • Return pickup at 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesdays: Woodman's (Westhill)
    • Return pickup at 6:30 p.m.
  • Thursdays: Fox River Mall
    • Drop-off at Northwoods Café, return pickup at 7 p.m.

Valley Transit and the VT Connector

  • Students can ride any Valley Transit bus at not cost.  
  • A free ride code can be picked up from the Office of SEAL

The VT Connector operates two different ways:

  1. During Bus Service Hours and within service area: Get to/from a bus route at a designated transfer point.
  2. Outside of Bus Service Hours and within service area: When there is no bus service or transfer points to be connected to, Connector provides door-to-door service

Things to Know:  Free Tickets for the VT connector are available in the Dean of Students Office. Students may receive one ticket at a time, up to five per term.  

  • Bus and Connector do not run on Sundays
  • Connector requires an advanced reservation a minimum of 2 hours prior to travel. You can reserve up to 14 days in advance.
  • When you make a reservation, you will be given a 30-minute waiting period, and the traveler should be ready and available to board the vehicle as soon as it arrives. The driver will only wait 5 minutes before leaving.
  • Cancellation requires a 1-hour notice.
  • Tickets are one way only. If a traveler needs to schedule a round trip, they will need two tickets and should schedule the return when they are scheduling the pick-up.

Airport Shuttles - Use the Campus Safety App

  • Airport shuttles are offered during Winter, Spring and Year-End breaks.
  • You must reserve your ride at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Departure time in the app is your departure from campus.  Use the airport (Green Bay or Appleton) as the destination.  Please provide flight number and time of departure.
  • For return to campus, request your time of pickup from the airport, with the main campus as your destination.  Flight number and time of arrival are necesssary as campus safety may need to monitor for delays.   

The LU Service Shuttle

The LU Service Shuttle is sponsored by the Committee on Volunteer Engagement (COVE) and is supported by the Center for Community Engagement and Social Change (CCE). The service shuttle is for students seeking transportation for volunteer opportunities, and it runs by request only. Sign up must be completed seven days in advance.
