Services provided by the CAS include:
- Academic Coaching: Providing one-on-one support for students interested in strategies related to motivation, procrastination, goal setting, problem solving, and more
- Academic Procedures:
- Discussing course concerns and best academic options
- Completing petition forms
- Arranging an incomplete in a course (for those eligible who need extra time to finish a course because of an emergency at the end of the term)
- Taking time off from or leaving Lawrence
- Other academic concerns
- Academic Success Skills: Providing one-on-one support for students interested in developing strategies related to schedule management, accountability, reading and note taking, test preparation, and organization
- Life Design Coaching: Offering individualized, one-on-one conversations grounded in the Designing Your Life approach taught in the Lawrence class. In these meetings, students partner with a coach to reflect on their values, interests, and experiences and explore academic, personal, and post-graduate possibilities. Sessions are practical and forward-focused, helping students reframe uncertainty, generate options, and identify small, actionable next steps toward a meaningful and flexible life path. - Multilingual Learning Resources and Support: Building and refining English skills in academic English for speakers of English as a second language
- Tutoring: Assisting students with writing, presentations and understanding course content
- Courses & Workshops: Offering UNIC 117 Academic Well-Being: Success Theories in Practice and other courses and workshops that address and promote academic success

Walk-In Hours
The Center for Academic Success is located on the 2nd floor of the Mudd Library.
Students must be checked in no later than 2:45pm.
Weeks 1-7: 1:30-3:00 PM Tuesdays
Week 8: 1:30-3:00 PM Tuesday & Thursday
Week 9: 1:30-3:00 PM Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
Week 10: 1:30-3:00 PM Daily (Monday - Friday)
Finals: 1:30-3:00 PM Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday
