Congratulations from LUAA!

Hearty congratulations on your impending graduation from Lawrence University!

The Lawrence University Alumni Association (LUAA) is celebrating you and your achievements by covering the cost of your graduation gown. This is our way to say welcome to the alumni family!

Upon graduation, you will automatically become a member of LUAA, a “built-in” group of people who will always support you. More information regarding the benefits of this group will be sent to you soon.

We hope you wear your gown with pride as you engage in the June 14th virtual ceremony and take pictures with family and friends. Let this gown serve as a symbol of your significant achievements and as a reminder that you are a part of a global network of learners, leaders, and Lawrentians.

Congratulations, again. You are the light!

A Message from President Mark Burstein

In March, we announced that Lawrence would move to distance learning for the rest of this academic year. At that time, I promised that we would do our best to recognize your achievements and celebrate your graduation, even if we could not all be together on Main Hall Green. Over the last six weeks, we have been working closely with the Senior Class leaders to ensure that we celebrate you in a way that reflects the many contributions you have brought to Lawrence during your time on campus.

We will host a virtual ceremony on June 14, starting at 10 a.m. CDT, during which the names of all graduates will be read, and your accomplishments celebrated. Renowned poet and freshman studies favorite Natasha Trethewey will be your commencement speaker, and one of your classmates will address you as senior class speaker.
