Eleven Lawrence University faculty members will be among the leaders of seminars at Björklunden this summer. They say they get as much from the week-long teaching experience as they give.
Registration is open for the 2024 summer seminars at Björklunden, Lawrence University’s northern campus and retreat center. The seminars, open to the public and available to all ages, cover a wide range of topics.
Tom McKenzie ’95 is the new director of Björklunden, Lawrence’s northern retreat. He has deep roots in Wisconsin and Door County, returning after spending the past 21 years in southern California.
Eric Simonson ’82 has carved out an impressive career in film, television, and theater, including winning an Academy Award. He points to Lawrence for preparing him for a life of exploration.
The summer and fall seminars at Björklunden are returning in person for the first time in three years, beginning in mid-June and continuing through mid-October. The COVID-19 pandemic shut down the seminars in 2020 and 2021.
