Teachers and Parents

The VITAL tutoring program will soon accept requests for the 2019-20 academic year. New applications will be accepted in the Fall and our program will start in September. Volunteers in Tutoring at Lawrence (VITAL) is a free tutoring service provided by Lawrence student volunteers for elementary through high school students in the Fox Valley area.

Community Agencies

Need volunteers? We are pleased to support community agencies in need of volunteers. Contact us at community.engagement@lawrence.edu to set up an account on the GivePulse volunteer management system and promote your volunteer opportunities to our students. In addition to promoting through Lawrence, you can also work through Volunteer Fox Cities to access volunteers from the greater Appleton community.

Need student employees? Our community service federal work study program through the financial aid office provides some financial support to community agencies interested in hiring a student with federal work study for employment. Contact the Director of the Center for Community Engagement and Social Change for more information.

Need an intern or want to post a job opportunity? Visit our Center for Career, Life, and Community Engagement page to learn how to access Lawrence student interns and job candidates with employment opportunities.

Have a unique service request? Contact the Center for Community Engagement and Social Change if your need is strongly tied to one of our areas of study.
