Important Deadlines for the April 4th, 2023 Election:

March 15th: Deadline to register by mail - Your voter registration form, along with proof of residence must be postmarked to the City Clerk of Appleton no later than March 15th, 2023. 

March 15th: Deadline to register online - Students who are able to match their name, date of birth, WI Driver's License or State ID Number, and address with the WI DMV can register to vote online through March 15th, 2023. 

March 31st at 5:00pm: Deadline to register at the City Clerk's Office - Students may register in person at the City Clerk's office during the clerk's business hours until 5:00pm on March 31st. 

April 4th, 7:00am - 8:00pm: Register to Vote at your Polling Place - Students can register to vote at their polling place on Election Day. Be sure to bring an approved photo ID (see below for instructions to request an LU Voter ID card). Poll workers will have your campus address on file to verify your place of residence.

Once you print your Voter Identification, be sure to sign your Voter Identification in front of a staff member at the CCE or the Career Center. This is not your voter registration, but it will be required in order to register at the polls.

Voter Registration

Lawrence University works closely with the City of Appleton's Clerk's Office to provide proof of residence so you can register to vote in Wisconsin if you are eligible. You will be able to vote immediately after completing registration. If you live on campus, Lawrence has provided your proof of residence to Appleton City's Clerk's Office.

Confirm you are registered to vote in Wisconsin by visiting myvote.wi.gov. 

You can also register at the polls immediately after completing registration. Be sure to bring your Voter ID. 

Escorts to Campus Polling Location

If you would like someone to go with you to the polls to register or vote, escorts are available. Stop by the Warch Campus Center Info Desk for details regarding who the escorts are for any given election day.  Students, staff and faculty are on cue as volunteers.
