Vikings Volunteer: Lawrence’s New Volunteer Recognition Program

Whether you're just starting your volunteer journey or you're already deeply involved in service work, Vikings Volunteer is designed to recognize and celebrate your dedication to community engagement throughout the academic year.


How It Works:

Track your service. Earn recognition. Make a difference.

Log your volunteer hours through the Modern Campus portal to qualify for one of four recognition tiers:

🟪 Community Contributor (5–14 hours)

  • Certificate of recognition

🟦 Service Leader (15–29 hours)

  • Certificate of recognition
  • A patch for your graduation stole (Each earned patch has a different theme)

🟨 Community Champion (30–49 hours)

  • Certificate of recognition
  • An patch for your graduation stole
  • Raffle entry for themed prize baskets

🟥 Excellence in Community Impact (50+ hours)

  • Certificate of recognition
  • A patch for your graduation stole
  • Raffle entry
  • Personalized letter of recognition 

BONUS RECOGNITION:

The student with the most logged volunteer hours by the start of Spring Term will be nominated for the Lantern Award — Lawrence’s highest honor for community engagement.
