Experiential Learning Funds

Thanks to the generous support of our alumni and other donors, you are eligible to apply for funding to support summer projects, service opportunities, or internships with a demonstrable social impact. Funding can be used to help defray transportation costs, living expenses, and more so that you can pursue summer activities that will supplement and enhance your classroom learning, give you the opportunity to acquire transferable professional skills, and have a positive social impact.

  • Applications open on January 3rd, 2022.
  • For full consideration, submit your proposal by Friday, April 8, 2022.
  • Proposals submitted after March 5 will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Please be sure to adhere to any and all deadlines during the application process. Please note the Humanitarian Grant uses a different application. This application supports funds that are administered by the Career Center. 

Humanitarian Projects Grant

The purpose of this grant is to provide funding for students performing service in the on-campus community, the Appleton community, or the world at large. The grant is to be used to subsidize costs for specific projects upholding Lawrence University’s missions of providing service to and learning from the community. This fund is also meant to provide resources for student organizations or individuals interested in fundraising for a charitable cause. The fund is to be used to subsidize costs for specific philanthropic fundraisers. The Humanitarian Projects Grant is supported by the LUCC Committee on Community Service and Engagement (CCSE).
