Advising for the Philosophy Major and Minor
Students who want to major in philosophy should take PHIL 150 Symbolic Logic early in their academic career.
Students who want to major in philosophy should get an advisor in philosophy as soon as possible. They should consult carefully with their advisor about the requirements for the major.
Students who want to minor in philosophy should consult with a member of the department regarding the minor.
In addition, students who want to major or minor in philosophy are encouraged to participate in meetings of The Strange Philosophy Thing. (It meets weekly. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual.)
For more information, contact the department chair: Mark Phelan, professor of philosophy.
