    Bystander intervention training is an interactive and educational presentation that empowers students to intervene in potentially harmful situations, such as bullying, sexual harassment, sexual assault, and intimate partner violence. As well as talk about the skills and information they need to effectively intervene in situations of sexual misconduct on campus. Stepping in to assist another person that is experiencing harm or abuse is an important part of helping and supporting people in our community.

    Gathering of neighbors to discuss proposed changes to parking regulations. Additional Information: The City of Appleton hired Walker Parking Consultants to perform a Downtown Parking Study. Their final report, approved by the City Council in February 2015 included 15 recommendations. One of those recommendations was to implement 2-hour time limit parking, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, in two neighborhoods adjacent to Lawrence University. Based on this recommendation, the City is proposing to implement a 2-hour parking time limit on a number of streets in these neighborhoods. If approved, the restrictions would be implemented effective July 1, 2018. The City of Appleton and Lawrence University will be hosting a joint neighborhood meeting to discuss the proposed 2-hour time limit recommendation. Please feel free to attend this meeting to share any feedback you have regarding this recommendation. If you are unable to attend this meeting, please feel free to contact Director of Public Works Paula Vandehey (paula.vandehey@appleton.org) or Jake Woodford, assistant to the president (jacob.a.woodford@lawrence.edu).
