Located on the banks of the Fox River and within a short distance of downtown Appleton, Lawrence University provides housing options for attendees of the annual EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh. 

EAA AirVenture Housing 

The Lawrence campus is the ideal location for EAA AirVenture guests visiting the area. Guests will be housed in Hiett Hall, the newest air-conditioned residence hall on campus, featuring two elevators and four floors of suite-style accommodations with private bathrooms.

  • All reservations must be made online for a minimum of three consecutive nights. Reservations are not complete until finalized with online payment confirmation.
  • A separate reservation form must be completed for each room requested. Room-type capacities: Single (1), Private Double (2), Shared Quad (2).
  • If you wish to book a full Shared Quad unit with two bedrooms (4 people total), please make two separate Shared Quad room reservations and note that you want to be housed together in the special requests area (please specify reservation names).
  • Please note: if you only book one Shared Quad unit (one of the double bedrooms), you will be placed with another Shared Quad reservation. Separate bedrooms with in the Shared Quad are lockable with the common space and in-unit bathroom being shared.
  • Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Lawrence University Covid protocols must be honored during your stay while on campus and in buildings. Any non-compliance will be addressed and may result in forfeiture of your campus housing.

What are check-in and check-out times? 

Check-In Time: 4:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. CT 
Check-Out Time: By 10:00 a.m. CT following the final night on campus 

Where do I check-in? 

Your check-in location will be listed on your reservation confirmation. 

Can I have extra guests staying in my room if they bring their own cots/air mattresses and linens? 

Additional guests are not allowed. The total number of guests in each room should not exceed the number of university-beds provided. Room-type capacities: Single (1), Private Double (2), Shared Quad (2). A Hiett Hall floor plan sample can be found here.

When is my payment due? 

Payment is due immediately after you complete your reservation form. Once you submit your reservation form, you will be redirected to a secure payment window. All online reservations must be finalized with an online payment (U.S. Dollars) to be complete: ACH (check) or credit card.

What happens after I make my payment? 

You will receive notification of your reservation status one to two weeks following the receipt of your payment. If we are unable to honor your request, you will receive a full refund. 

What if I need to cancel my reservation? 

Cancellations before June 15 will receive a full refund less a $25 handling fee. 
Cancellations made between June 15 - July 13 will be charged a minimum of one night's fee per room reserved. 

No refunds will be paid for cancellations made after July 13 or "no-shows." 

Are meals available on campus? 

Andrews Commons is an all-you-can-eat facility offering fine food and beautiful views of the Fox River. Located on the lower level of the Warch Campus Center, the Commons features cooked-from-scratch daily offerings using the freshest quality ingredients. Cash and credit cards are accepted at the door. Cafeteria hours will be listed on your room information card. 

Is there a shuttle service? 

Daily one-way and round-trip shuttles will be offered by Kobussen Coach between downtown Appleton (5 blocks from campus) and EAA AirVenture grounds in Oshkosh. Cash only accepted. 

Do you provide maid service? 

Maid service is not provided. Guests will be required to make their own beds upon arrival. Linen packets will be on each bed. 

What linens are provided? 

Each linen packet includes a pillow, blanket, top & bottom sheet, pillowcase, two bath towels and one washcloth. Additional items provided include: three hangers, bar soap and a plastic cup. 

What is furnished in the room? 

Guest rooms are dorm-room style with extra-large twin beds and a desk, dresser and wardrobe for each occupant. Furnished linens are described above. 

Is guest wireless access available? 

Wireless access is available free of charge to all guests. Login information will be provided in your room. 

What else should I consider bringing? 

You may want to consider bringing an alarm clock (there are no wake-up calls), hair dryer, personal toiletries, medications and laundry detergent. These items are not available for purchase on campus. 

Are there refrigerators, microwaves and televisions? 

Residence halls have common areas which include a full kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave and one or more television viewing rooms. Please be mindful of any Covid protocols and signage with information for shared spaces.

Is smoking allowed? 

Smoking is prohibited in all Lawrence University owned, leased, or operated buildings, on Lawrence sidewalks and in Lawrence parking lots.

There are two designated outdoor smoking shelters located to the north of Ormsby Hall and south of the Warch Campus Center. Smoking is also permitted on City of Appleton public sidewalks (adjacent to city streets). 

Are pets allowed? 

Pets are not allowed. Service animals are welcome. The Conference & Event Services Office should be notified in advance if guests plan to bring service animals on campus to ensure appropriate accommodations can be arranged. 

Is there an ATM on campus? 

Yes! An ATM is located inside the front entrance of the Warch Campus Center. Hours will be listed on your room information card.
