Curious about Lawrence or ready to explore your interests more deeply? Viking for a Day is a flexible, personalized visit that lets you experience the university on your own terms. Whether you have just an hour or want to spend a full day, you’ll get a meaningful glimpse of life as a Lawrentian—immersing yourself in academics, campus life, and opportunities that match your passions.
What to Expect:
- Personalized Campus Tour – Explore campus with a current student who will share their Lawrence story, giving you an authentic look at life here and space to ask your own questions.
- Admission Conversation – Meet with a counselor and learn more about the application process, scholarships, and the practical ways Lawrence makes a world-class education accessible.
- Class Visit – Step into a classroom (when in session) and experience the curiosity and collaboration that make Lawrence learning distinctive.
- Dine in Andrew Commons – Share a meal in our dining hall and see how connection and community are at the heart of campus life.
- Customized Options – Shape your day around your interests by meeting with faculty, coaches, or staff in areas like athletics, music, and other academic and creative pursuits.

Curious about college life or ready to dive deeper into your college search? Join us for Viking Showcase, a full-day event designed to give you a real feel for Lawrence University and help you confidently take your next step.
Whether this is your first visit or you’re narrowing your options, Viking Showcase is a chance to experience our welcoming community, explore campus, and discover the academic and personal support that sets Lawrence apart.
What to Expect:
- Unlock the Lawrence Classroom - Step into the shoes of a college student and experience scholarly curiosity that is led by one of our amazing Lawrence University faculty. This is a great opportunity to experience Lawrence first hand!
- Life at Lawrence – During these sessions, students will break off to connect with current Lawrentians and hear firsthand what it's like to live and learn here. At the same time, parents and guests will join Lawrence staff for a look at the resources, support, and opportunities available to students.
- Campus Tour – See our scenic riverside campus through the eyes of a current student.
- Admissions & Financial Aid Overview – Demystify the application process and learn how we make a Lawrence education affordable.
- Lunch in Andrew Commons – Enjoy a meal in our dining hall, just like a Lawrentian.
Twilight Tour

Looking for a unique way to experience campus? Twilight Tour offers an evening opportunity to explore Lawrence after hours. Perfect for busy families, this event gives you a glimpse into campus life when the day winds down and the community comes alive.
What to Expect:
- Campus Tour – Explore our scenic campus as the sun sets over the Fox River, guided by a current student who can share personal insights and stories.
- Admissions Information Session – Learn more about academics, student life, and the admissions and financial aid process from a member of our Admissions team.
- Dinner in Andrew Commons (available at 5:15 p.m. during the academic year) – Experience campus dining and enjoy a meal alongside current students in our dining hall.

The music faculty of Bard Conservatory, Lawrence Conservatory, Oberlin Conservatory, and St. Olaf College are pleased to invite you to College Auditions 101, an online panel discussion on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. Central where we will address these questions and more! This webinar is the perfect opportunity to get advice directly from a panel of music faculty on how to present your strongest audition.
