Cailey Cao Le, a Lawrence University sophomore majoring in international relations, is going to Switzerland this summer. She will work as a research assistant at Swisspeace, a practice and research institute affiliated with the University of Basel.

Sixteen Lawrence students and two faculty members traveled to The Gambia this spring for research and community outreach, part of the Field Experience in Development course. The students later showcased their research in poster presentations.

Senior Adnan Sarancic, an international relations major from Gurnee, Illinois, has left his mark in both academics and athletics at Lawrence University. Now he's eyeing a career in the paralegal field.

Lawrence University alumnus Pawo Choyning Dorji ’06 is again drawing Oscar buzz. His second film, again set in Bhutan, The Monk and the Gun, has been shortlisted for an Academy Award nomination for International Feature Films.

Jon Greenwald, a former Lawrence University Scarff Distinguished Visiting Professor of Diplomacy and Foreign Policy, will discuss Ukraine in an Oct. 10 lecture at Lawrence University. It is part of the 2023-24 Povolny Lecture Series in International Studies.
