One Lawrentian’s spoken word experience

There are so many answers to that question and, depending upon whom you ask, the answers will differ greatly. (That's a good thing.) Here are a handful of ways we'd at least start answering the question.


Experience life as a Lawrentian for a day during our Fall Open House. Attend classes, eat lunch with professors and coaches, meet the admissions staff, attend presentations on admissions and financial aid, take a tour of campus and more. (And if you're from the Chicago or Twin Cities area, we'll even provide a ride! See more details below.)

Need a ride? Hop on a bus with us from Chicago or the Twin Cities! We'll provide the wonderful company, an informative college visit, your overnight accommodations on campus, and all meals during your visit.

Twin Cities Bus TripOctober 19-20  Register here for bus pick-up from Minneapolis or St. Paul.
Open House Itinerary:
8:30 - 9:00    Registration - Warch Campus Center
9:00 - 9:40    Welcome
9:50 - 12:00  Choose from classes, tours and/or department presentations
11:45 - 1:15   Lunch with faculty, students and coaches
1:30 - 4:00    Choose tours and/or departmental presentations
Classes: Attend 70-minute classes with students and faculty (Note: not available on Oct. 20)
Presentations: 30-minute presentations on a wide range of topics
Tours: 70-minute campus tours offered throughout the day
Faculty office visits: Informal drop-in visits with individual professors
Residence Hall Tour: Self-guided tours offered throughout the day
