If a student is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19

  • Contact Wellness Services at (920) 832-6574 or wellnessservices@lawrence.edu
  • DO NOT attend in person classes/activities without a negative covid test. Avoid in person classes/activities with any illness.
  • Minimize your contacts until feeling better.
  • Double mask.
  • Wash your hands frequently.
  • Get your meals and eat in your room instead of the commons.
  • Keep surfaces in your room clean.
  • If after hours:
  • Remember COVID-19 can develop any time 2-14 days after an exposure. A negative covid test today does not mean you will be negative tomorrow.

 

Vaccine Booster Shots: Vaccinated community members need to submit proof of a booster as soon as possible. Students send proof to Wellness Services at wellnessservices@lawrence.edu; employees send proof to Human Resources at humanresources@lawrence.edu

COVID TESTING ON CAMPUS

SURVEILLANCE TESTING Student, Faculty, and Staff who are unvaccinated or have not provided records to the University will be required to test weekly. LU will also test a percentage of vaccinated community members each week. DO NOT attend surveillance testing if you have symptoms of COVID-19. Persons who have tested positive for COVID in the last 90 days will be exempt, but will be expected to test again after the 90 days have passed.

Those not selected may choose to attend testing. If you are vaccinated and asymptomatic and would like to participate in weekly surveillance testing. 

All LU community members are required to be tested 2 times prior to week 3, which begins on January 17.  Students who have already arrived on campus and employees currently working on campus should test on January 3rd or 4th and again on January 6th.  All students who have not yet been tested and/or are arriving on January 9th and all remaining employees should be tested on January 10th or 11th and again on January 13th. Surveillance testing will begin week 3.

January 19th: 12pm-4:45pm

Surveillance Testing Mondays starting January 24th: 8am- 9am and 12pm-4:45pm.                                                        You must attend if selected and you can always opt in for testing. E-mail invitations are sent the previous week

 

SYMPTOMATIC TESTING Students who have symptoms or concerns of COVID-19 should STAY IN YOUR ROOM AND CALL FIRST. Wellness Services can assist with symptomatic testing. Faculty and Staff should stay home, be tested off campus, and contact Human Resources.
