As an Appletonian, it is with great pleasure to be working at Lawrence University. I have been working in higher education for the past 10+ years at various institutions across the country and it feels amazing to be back in such a great city and representing such a great institution. I really enjoy thinking smarter, not harder – leading to streamlining and process improvement. I really love being part of the student experience, both from the front and back end as I support campus visits and our admissions software.
My favorite spot to dine in Appleton is this historical family owned Spats! This is a small dive bar just off the main downtown. The have one of the best Friday fish frys and food all around.
My favorite coffee spot is Cafe Nutrition in Fox Crossing. My go to is the skinny mocha but I also love their smoothies such as the "super recovery" which includes Door County Cherries.
