About

Research Interests

My research focuses on the freshwater snail, Biomphalaria glabrata, an intermediate host to the parasite Schistosoma mansoni. Specifically, my lab studies a family of transcription factors (NFkappaB) in the snails, with the goal of determining what roles they play in this species. In addition, we are interested in the nervous system in B. glabrata, in embryos, juveniles, and adults.
