Austin Segrest teaches classes in poetry writing and literature, as well as First-Year Studies. He is the author of the poetry collection, Door to Remain (UNT Press, 2022), winner of the Vassar Miller Poetry Prize. His poetry can be found in POETRY, Ploughshares, The Threepenny Review, The Yale Review, Ecotone, The Common, New England Review, and many other journals. His poetry criticism appears in APR, Poetry Northwest, 32 Poems, Southern Humanities Review, and Pleiades.
