About

I am an ecologist who studies plant-insect interactions. I am interested in the factors that influence the amount of damage plants receive from insects. My lab has explored plant-herbivore interactions in a variety of applied systems; from mitigating insect damage to an agricultural crop and a rare plant along the Lake Michigan sand dunes, to increasing insect damage to an invasive plant.

I teach a variety of Biology courses, including Botany, Entomology, Plant Ecology, and Experimental Design and Statistics.
