Intent to Seek External Funding Form

Please submit this form at least 30 days before foundation and corporate application deadlines and at least 60 days before government deadlines. This form is required of all faculty and staff intending to seek external funding for their projects and programs and will be forwarded to the Provost and/or relevant Cabinet member(s) for review. Authorization from the Provost or relevant Cabinet member(s) is required to proceed with your proposed submission. This form also allows Lawrence to track external grant applications, coordinate efforts to make the application successful, and ensure good management of multiple planned submissions.

This required form identifies your interest in seeking external funding, but it does not obligate you to submit a grant application and does not guarantee any cost share utilizing Lawrence funds or resources. Please fill out each section with your best guess.

Will the workload of any other departments or current faculty, staff, and/or students be impacted by this project?

Will any new personnel be hired on a temporary or permanent basis, including student summer researchers or student workers?

Will this project require use of or any impact to Lawrence facilities and/or the physical campus in Appleton or at Björklunden?

Will the project involve research on human or animal subjects?
