Hailing from the Lone Star State, Chandler recently completed his MS-LS at the University of North Texas. His musicology dissertation-in-progress is tentatively entitled "Contestation and Collaboration on the Cathedral Close: Washington National Cathedral's Musical Responses to the Vietnam War," which examines how music performance continuously reshaped and reconstituted the National Cathedral's communities and its pro-peace stances. Chandler also served as a research assistant on the Early Modern area of Grove Music Online's Women, Gender, and Sexuality Project. With a background in voice, he has an acute interest in choral and sacred music.
