Our mission is to foster a campus environment where everyone feels respected, valued, and safe. We are here to ensure that Lawrence University upholds its commitment to non-discrimination in all aspects of university life, including admissions, employment, and all educational programs and activities.
We work to ensure compliance with both federal and state laws, as well as the university's own policies. Our office specifically addresses matters related to discrimination on the basis of sex, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, and many other protected characteristics.
We also serve as the primary resource for Title IX, working to prevent and address issues of sex-based discrimination and harassment. We are a confidential resource for anyone who has experienced or witnessed misconduct. Our goal is to promote a respectful and inclusive campus community for all students, staff, and faculty.
