This seminar discusses such satires as Dr. Strangelove (Stanley Kubrick, 1964), Network (Paddy Chayefsky, 1975), and Life of Brian (Terry Jones, 1979). We’ll ask what these films satirize, but also who was doing the satirizing, when, and where.
