Our Mission

The objective of the Intercultural Center is to ensure a welcoming environment for all students, specifically students from various backgrounds, to be able to thrive personally, socially, and academically at Lawrence University. This will be achieved through education, conversation, and celebrations that embrace oneself and others.

Our cozy space features resources such as:

  • Individual cultural support
  • A diverse library (books, magazines, pamphlets)
  • Connections to the surrounding diverse communities
  • Diverse programming and cultural conversations

Please stop by for a visit and get connected. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Black History Month Programming

Join us this February to celebrate the 100th Black History Month!

Our full calendar of events is featured below and includes a variety of programming that highlight Black excellence, experience, innovation, and culture.

Be sure to check out our "Voices of the Diaspora" series, hosted in collaboration with the Committee of Diversity Affairs to hear from Lawrence students, alumni, and community members on their experiences of Black entrepreneurship, arts, and STEM!

We look forward to seeing you there!
