Hiett harnesses the powers of the natural world. Boasting Lawrence’s second 20-kilowatt solar panel on its roof, it is also home to a fireplace built from slabs of Morton Gneiss—one of the oldest rocks in the world, 3.6 billion years to be exact!
With 183 beds, Hiett Hall is the largest living space on campus. Completed in 2003, it is named in honor of Stanley and Clara Hiett—parents of Lawrence trustee Kim Hiett Jordan ’58.
