About
Dayna Watson (she/her)
Wellness Intern
Dayna Watson (she/her) is a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Marquette University, specializing in child and adolescent counseling. Before pursuing counseling, Dayna spent several years working across the private, public, and nonprofit sectors in roles that combined community impact with organizational strategy. That background shapes how she approaches counseling today: with an emphasis on cultural responsiveness, systems-informed care, and meeting people where they are during life transitions. Dayna has particular interest in supporting children, adolescents, and families navigating anxiety, OCD, ADHD, autism spectrum presentations, mood disorders, and PTSD, and she brings both clinical curiosity and real-world perspective to her work with clients.
Outside of her studies, Dayna is a mom to two children, a wife, and generally along for the ride, whether that means hiking a new trail, planning the next family trip, trying out a new recipe in the kitchen, or discussing this month’s pick with her book club. She and her husband also keep busy with two very large, very energetic golden doodles who keep life interesting, and a horse who is (thankfully) a bit more mellow.
