Welcome Back, Alumni!

The Seeley G. Mudd Library welcomes Lawrence alumni to use our collections and facilities. Walk-in, in-building use of our print and electronic collections are available for those doing research. A coin-operated photocopier is available to make copies of library print materials. Databases to which the library subscribes may be accessed on a library computer and printouts can be made as needed. Alumni may request temporary wireless access at the reference desk.

Looking for alumni authors, or are you an alumna/alumnus who would like to suggest we add your work to the collection? Take a look at our Alumni Authors information!

Library Resources

These library resources may be of particular interest to Lawrence University alumni.

Lux: Lawrence's Institutional Repository
Lux is the digital home for the scholarly and creative works of the Lawrence University students, faculty, and staff, as well as for selected archival records and special collections.  Highlights of the collection include honors projects since 2012, studio art major exhibitions, articles and ebooks by faculty, press releases, Lawrence Today (now Lawrence), The Lawrentian (1923 to the present), Tropos (the student literary magazine), Milwaukee-Downer student newspapers (1944-1964), 3-D printable objects from the Chemistry department, and more.

Lawrence University Archives
The Lawrence University Archives collects, preserves and makes accessible materials that document the history of both Lawrence University and Milwaukee-Downer College.  Located in the Seeley G. Mudd Library, it serves as a resource for Lawrence students, faculty, staff, alumni, and members of the wider community. The Archives database contains a large (and growing) amount of digital content (mostly photos) as well as descriptions of collections held by the Archives, including non-current University records, faculty and alumni papers and other manuscript materials, related to both Lawrence and Milwaukee-Downer College. Materials are available for use during the Archives’ open hours. To ensure staff availability, visitors are encouraged to contact the Archivist ahead of time.

RefWorks Citation Manager
Lawrence alumni with RefWorks accounts at the time of graduation will have continuing access to their data. Check with a reference librarian if you have questions.
