Katie Dahl and Friends

Community Concert by the Lake at Björklunden

August 13th

Organized with members of the Friends of Björklunden as part of our community outreach efforts, this free concert will be held 4:00-6:00 pm on the lawn next to the Boynton Chapel. All are welcome to this lakeside concert featuring music, food, and fun.

This year, Lawrence University celebrates 50 years of stewardship of its beloved northern campus, Björklunden, from mid-summer 2025 to mid-summer 2026. This event will celebrate Björklunden’s 50th with music that helps showcase Lawrence's mission, values, and enduring commitment to the arts, environmental sustainability, and lifelong learning.

Known for writing evocative, intelligent songs with a strong sense of place, Dahl is an internationally touring playwright and songwriter. While her roots are in Door County, Dahl also has an impressive worldwide following and touring career. This year, she won the Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Competition for Emerging Songwriters, and in 2023 her Seven Stones album was #2 on the Folk Radio Charts.

She will be joined by Memphis-based, multi-instrumentalist Eric Lewis, and bass player/percussionist Rich Higdon.

Guests may bring blankets and/or chairs to set up on the lawn. A limited number of seats will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. The Savor Barbeque and Taphouse food truck will be onsite selling delicious barbeque along with some vegetarian options.

An RSVP is requested here

Though not required, your RSVP allows us to connect in the event of changes or cancelations.

Björklunden is located at 7590 Boynton Lane in Baileys Harbor.
