Mr. Pierson has 40 years of investment experience managing various types of fixed income portfolios. As Managing Director and Co-Chief Investment Officer at Baird Advisors, he plays a lead role in formulating and implementing investment strategy.

Prior to joining Baird Advisors, Mr. Pierson was a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager with Firstar Investment Research & Management Company where he played a lead role in the management of taxable and tax-exempt portfolios.

Mr. Pierson is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Milwaukee (past president). He is a cabinet member of the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and is currently on the boards of the Milwaukee Rescue Mission (past board president), the Medical College of Wisconsin, the Neuroscience Research Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and the Kern Family Foundation. He has also served as board president of the Alzheimer’s Association of Southeastern Wisconsin.

Mr. Pierson earned a bachelor’s degree from Lawrence.
