Campus Visit

For the one-on-one approach, choose a Campus Visit, offered throughout the year. As a part of the Campus Visit, students may meet with an admissions counselor and take a tour of campus. Also offered (when classes are in session) are a number of other activities including: a residence hall tour, meetings with faculty and coaches, class observations, and lunch in the dining hall. (See below for more information about campus visits.) For seniors who provide two weeks’ notice, overnights and music lessons may also be available.

Options during a campus visit

Campus tour: Led by a current Lawrence student, 75-minute walking tours generally depart the admissions office at the following times during the academic year:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 9:50, 11:10, 1:50, 3:10
Tuesday and Thursday: 9:50, 11:10, 2:30
Saturdays: 9:45, 10:45

Residence hall tour: We have so much nifty stuff to show you on the campus tour that we offer separate 30-minute tours of one of our residence halls. Tours depart the admissions office at the following times during the academic year:

Weekdays: 12:00, 1:40
Saturdays: 12:00

Interview/meeting with an admission counselor: Although we don't require them for admission, interviews are mutually beneficial ways for students and the admissions office to explore how Lawrence may fit with students' talents and aspirations.

Class visits: A wide variety of classes are offered on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, making these great days for you to visit. Students interested in music may be able to attend ensemble rehearsals. Lawrence does not offer classes in the summer.

Eat a meal: You've heard the reviews, now experience the magic of Lawrence's dining for yourself. We can arrange for you and your family to eat lunch in the Warch Campus Center with current students.

Meet with faculty or coaches (two-week notice required): We're happy to make appointments for you to meet with a faculty member or coach. We are unable to arrange such meetings during the summer, term breaks or on weekends.

Music lesson or observation (two-week notice required): Music lessons and observations are scheduled through the admissions office. Please do not contact faculty directly. Due to high demand on visit days, students interested in majoring in music may observe the lesson of a current Lawrence student. If you would like a lesson with a faculty member on your primary instrument, please use our individual visit registration form or call our visit coordinator at 800-448-3072 to schedule your individual visit. If you are a junior in high school, please note that we give preference to high school seniors who are finalizing their college decisions.

Information Session:  A member of the admissions staff will chat with you for 20-30 minutes about the what makes Lawrence unique and also go over admissions and financial aid applications processes and deadlines.

Stay overnight (two-week notice required): We invite (and encourage) high school seniors to stay overnight on campus, and are happy to arrange for a one-night stay in a residence hall, Sunday through Thursday nights during the academic year. Note: In the month of April we offer overnight visits only to admitted students.
