Report from Development
The Lawrence community continued its robust philanthropic support in FY17 with gift income totaling $18.46 million. The Lawrence Fund achieved its second highest total at $3,860,925. Lawrence donors continued to rally around the Full Speed to Full Need (FSFN) campaign to support our students. In December 2016, FSFN notched another milestone when we achieved $35 million in gifts and pledges from the community, and our anonymous donor matched that with an additional $5 million. The pace of giving in the FSFN campaign is unprecedented and transformative.
Every gift makes a difference at Lawrence. Gifts support books for the library, sheet music for the Conservatory of Music, athletic gear for our student athletes and so much more. Alumni gifts also help bolster the alumni participation rate. This is the key data point national rankings use to determine “alumni satisfaction.” Our annual Giving Day provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Lawrence and engage members of the Lawrence family around the theme of philanthropy.
We remain grateful for the enthusiastic and generous support of the Lawrence community. Together we will make Lawrence a better Lawrence.
