Welcome to the web site of the Lawrence University Students of Objectivism. LUSO is an organization dedicated to the study and spread of the ideas of Ayn Rand.

Good news for those of you who access this page only to find that it hasn't been updated in over a year: I have finally gotten around to getting myself access to the page and will, henceforth, be doing my best to maintain and update the page.
 

• Term I there will be no formal LUSO meetings. There are a number of other exciting opportunities, however, that I would like to encourage all to attend.
• Bas C. van Fraassen will be giving this year's Stevens lecture entitled, "Scientific Revolution/Conversion as a Philosophical Problem". The lecture will be held in 161 Youngchild Hall, 8:00pm Monday, October 4.
• Alvin Plantiga will give two talks on Thursday, October 7. At 11:10am, he will present, "Warrented Christian Belief", in a special Main Hall Forum in the Memorial Chapel. Later that day, at 8:00pm, he will talk in the auditorium of the Wriston Art Center. The title of this later talk is, "An Evolutionary Argument Against Naturalism".

• The Committee for the Moral Defense of Microsoft has taken their case to Washington, in a courthouse demonstration feasted upon by the national media.
• Visit The Certainty Site, and learn about the bread and butter of Objectivism: its epistemology.
