Announcements
Good news for those of you who access this page only to find that
it hasn't been updated in over a year: I have finally gotten around to
getting myself access to the page and will, henceforth, be doing my best
to maintain and update the page.

Term I there will be no formal LUSO meetings. There are a number of other
exciting opportunities, however, that I would like to encourage all to
attend.

Bas C. van Fraassen
will be giving this year's Stevens lecture entitled, "Scientific
Revolution/Conversion as a Philosophical Problem". The lecture will
be held in 161 Youngchild Hall, 8:00pm Monday, October 4.

Alvin Plantiga
will give two talks on Thursday, October 7. At 11:10am, he will present,
"Warrented
Christian Belief", in a special Main Hall Forum in the Memorial
Chapel. Later that day, at 8:00pm, he will talk in the auditorium of the
Wriston Art Center. The title of this later talk is, "An
Evolutionary Argument Against Naturalism".
