The Director of the Office of Research Administration serves as chair of the Lawrence University IRB. Faculty members are appointed by the Faculty Commitee on Governance for a one-year term as an official committee assignment. The Provost appoints a person for a one-year term who is not otherwise affiliated with the institution as an outside community member. The IRB reports directly to the Provost and Dean of the Faculty.
