Members of Lawrence University Community Council's Cabinet are appointed by the President and Vice President, with the approval of the General Council. By assuming a plethora of responsibilities, Cabinet members hold positions in the Steering and Finance committees and help advance the policy interests of the elected officials.
Each class at LU elects four students to the General Council. Class Representatives help promote the interests of the student body in various topics, ranging from diversity clubs to group living, by serving on numerous committees.
Each LUCC-affiliated committee aims to address a unique aspect of life at Lawrence and try to synchronize its functions to the needs of the student body. Each committee elects a chair among its members, who then represents the committee as a member of the General Council.
