The Honor Council is a group of 10 Lawrence students who work on behalf of the faculty and students, to uphold the Honor Code and its policies, and encourage fair academic work among our peers at Lawrence. Education comes first, as the Council acts primarily an educational resource for the student body, informing them of the implications of the Honor Code and whether certain situations fall under the jurisdiction of the Council. As the need arises, the Council also functions as a judicial body and convenes on hearings regarding alleged violations of the Honor Code. For more information on the Honor System or the role of the Honor Code, visit here.
Also, please feel free to contact any member of the Council. We are primarily a resource for information. Remember, if you talk to one of the members about a possible Honor Code violation, you have no obligation to continue the talks or to start a formal investigation.
