Current and former students may obtain an official transcript of their Lawrence work by submitting a request to the Registrar’s Office online through the Voyager Information System or sending a completed request form (see ‘How to Order’ below) by fax or mail. Federal law governs the release of this information and we cannot honor requests made by phone, e-mail, or third parties.
Transcript Order Process and Fees
Transcripts will not be released if an outstanding financial obligation to Lawrence University exists.
The transcript fee of $5.00 per transcript covers delivery by standard mail. Other delivery options are available including e-mail, fax, USPS priority mail, and overnight shipping. Up to five transcripts (copies included) may be requested in a 24 hour period.
Transcript orders must be pre-paid. Payment can be made by credit card/e-check (Voyager only), check, cash, money order, or wire transfer. Current students may charge transcript fees to their student accounts when the term is in session. Unpaid requests will be cancelled after fifteen business days if payment is not received.
Requests are filled in the order in which they are received. Please allow 2-3 business days and a week or more at peak times (end of term sessions, January, and June) for your order to be processed before it is shipped. Orders placed by current students after classes end will not be processed until grading and the term academic action review are complete.
Transcripts released to a current or former student will be marked ‘Issued to Student’ and may not be accepted as official for many purposes.
How To Order
Current students must order official transcripts through the Voyager Information System. (Student Services/Academic Resources & Services/Order Official Academic Transcript)
- Alumni/former students with academic record access in Voyager may order transcripts through the Voyager Information System (Student Services/Academic Resources &Services/Order Official Academic Transcript).
- Alumni/former students with Voyager access, but not academic record access, may activate online transcript ordering through the Voyager Information System. In Voyager, go to the Alumni tab and select Activate Your Transcript Order Page. Please allow one to two business days for activation.
- Alumni/former students who do not have Voyager access or would prefer to submit a request by mail may use the transcript order form (pdf) . You can complete it using your computer and save a copy for your records, or you may print it and fill it out by hand. After you print the form, you must be sure to sign it before sending it with your payment to: Registrar’s Office, Lawrence University, 711 E. Boldt Way SPC 31, Appleton, WI 54911-5699.
All transcript orders must be paid in advance. Orders sent by fax or e-mail attachment will be held for payment for 15 business days and then cancelled.
