Ragazze singers singing during a concert, wearing red t-shirts with the Girl Choir graphic on the right breast and black pants

Ragazze is a training choir for singers in grades 3-5 who identify as female. There is no audition required. Singers will learn the basics of healthy singing through the use of folk songs and singing games and perform in both the fall and spring Girl Choir concerts in the Lawrence Memorial Chapel.

Students registered for Academy ensembles are also expected to participate in a curricular (during the school day, for credit) performing musical ensemble when available; Ragazze should not substitute for curricular music programs.

Registration is now open for the 2020-21 season of Ragazze. Click the button below to register.

Two of Ragazze's second semester songs are lullabies that come from Native American tribes. Below, you can find links for Ragazze singers to listen to the indigenous speakers of these pieces.

Both songs come from the recording, "Under the Green Corn Moon," which can be found here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zpb7CWcPeRQ

  • The first song is "Konolounka," an Onieda Lullaby which is at 12:38 on the recording.
  • The second song is "Untitled" (Kiowa) and is at 3:05 on the recording.
