Playing Together Piano Camp - July 9-13

Join Lawrence Academy of Music piano faculty and teaching artists as you participate in a piano ensemble, move to music, and deepen your understanding of music theory. Bring your love of rhythm as we explore dance, this year's theme, in a variety of historical periods and regions of the world. A unique feature of our camp is the opportunity to work on a duet, trio or quartet that has been selected based on your level of proficiency. You will receive your piece roughly three weeks before the camp and will be coached with your ensemble every day with your partner(s).

Camp takes place Monday-Friday from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music. Each afternoon includes ensemble coaching, theory, movement, and enrichment classes based on this year's topic. The week culminates in a performance of your duet, trio or quartet in Harper Hall on Friday afternoon. This performance is free and open to the public.

Registration is now open.
