About

Amanda Draheim, she/they specializes in clinical psychology. Her clinical interests include treatment of adults with anxiety disorders, depression, and posttraumatic stress disorder using cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, and feminist interventions.

Dr. Draheim’s research primarily focuses on evaluation of mechanisms that inform theory and treatment of internalizing disorders. This includes assessment of a novel computer task she developed to measure outcome probability bias (the tendency to overestimate the likelihood of a feared outcome) in social anxiety. She also studies applications of virtual reality in exposure therapy. Through ongoing collaboration with Dr. Lara Stepleman, Dr. Draheim also conducts research investigating health disparities among LGBTQ+ populations. Her publications can be found via her google scholar profile.

She teaches classes on adult clinical psychology.
