Report from Admissions
We welcomed 400 new first-year students for the 2018-19 academic year. We have only seen a class of 400 or more first-year students five times in Lawrence University history—and all five times have happened since 2010. Joining these first-year students are 12 transfer and 13 visiting exchange students.
Continuing a trend that has gained steam over the past five years, this class of Lawrentians is domestically and globally diverse, with nearly 27% identifying as domestic students of color, and another 14% coming from outside the United States.
The conservatory enjoyed historically high enrollment, with nearly 90 students joining us as Bachelor of Music and double-degree students, adding great strength and depth to our growing array of ensembles at Lawrence.
As always, this class arrived at Lawrence with the academic credentials—on par with previous classes—that suggest they are ready to take advantage of the unique opportunities and challenge of a Lawrence education.
To help us find great future Lawrentians, please put them on our radar using our referral form. Thank you for your support of Lawrence University.
