General Conservatory information, placement exams information, and sign-ups for Basic Keyboard Skills, sight singing, and ensemble auditions.

Meet other new and current transfer students, have a bit of fun, and enjoy some refreshments.

In addition to meeting your classmates, this session, required for all new transfer students, will provide important information about academics, residential living, involvement, and standard practices at Lawrence.

This program will feature discussion and helpful suggestions as you support your student during the busy and sometimes stressful college years.

You will have a chance to say goodbye to your family before the class photo and advising session for all new students begins.

All new students are required to attend an address by the director of Freshman Studies in the Chapel.

Meet your assigned faculty advisors, schedule individual advising appointments, and discuss placement exams. After the dessert, you may also meet with academic department representatives to get more information about placement exams.

For students registering for the calculus sequence (MATH 140: Calculus I or MATH 155: Multivariable Calculus). If you have questions, please contact Kelsey Uherka in the Center for Academic Success.

You'll leave the session with a better understanding of how to use our office to explore meaningful experiential-learning opportunities, and test-drive two of Lawrence's most important tech platforms: GivePulse and Handshake. Students should attend one of these four sessions. Please bring your laptop!

In this interactive and competitive hunt to find clues around campus and piece together the secret message, first year students will work with their CORE groups to see which team can get done the fastest (and win cool prizes) while also learning about campus offices and resources that are available to them.

Frederick Winters is a legendary hypnotist and a tradition at hundreds of colleges and universities nationwide and has performed for over 3,000 college shows. All are welcome to see this dynamic and entertaining performer.

This student led experience is designed to introduce the practice of meditation, and to welcome those with experience in meditation.

Meet your new community through an event that will bring organizations to campus. After some networking, free food, and bounce house fun, each student will pick their own service adventure and will serve from either on or off campus. All students will acquire volunteer hours and have started their experiential education journey at LU! Register today and get your first pick. Participation is mandatory for all students--even if it's just doing crafts at a table for a few minutes!

If you are a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree student and registered for courses in the summer, you may make changes to your fall registration if necessary and add courses for winter and spring terms during this registration time.

If you are a Bachelor of Music (B. Mus.), Double-Degree (B.A./B. Mus.), or Visiting/Special student, you will have your first opportunity to register for fall, winter, and spring terms during this registration.

All of us at the Mudd Library welcome you to Lawrence! We provide services, materials, and staff that will support your academic and personal interests and we want you to get off to a good start with these short programs designed to provide quick, basic introductions to what's up in the Mudd.

What's the Mudd? (30 minutes)

The library here has some major differences from other libraries, public and school, that you've used before, so there's lots of new stuff to learn. More importantly, however, we want you to feel at home here. This session will introduce you to the way the library is organized, the kinds of things we provide, and the ways the library connects with you and your work.
