There is always something happening at Lawrence!
Lawrence's concerts and performances, public lectures, art exhibitions, and other events, most of which are free and open to the general public, are a major cultural resource for the Fox Cities.
The Performing Arts at Lawrence brings world-class musicians to the community through its classical Artist Series and Jazz Series. Conservatory of Music recitals and ensemble concerts, including the renowned Lawrence Symphony Orchestra, offer a wide choice of weekly entertainment.
The Wriston Art Center galleries sponsor five or six major art exhibitions each academic year and the Theatre Department mounts several student productions, including both traditional and contemporary experimental plays and, in cooperation with the Conservatory of Music, musical theatre and opera. University Convocations and other speaker series such as the Main Hall Forum address major issues of the day.
