Do I need my ID at the Wellness Center?

Yes. Students, faculty and staff, spouses/partners and dependent children 16 years of age or older, and alumni must present a valid Lawrence ID card to gain access to the Wellness Center. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.


Can I bring a guest?

Currently guests are not allowed at the wellness center. Only students, faculty and staff with a valid LU ID.


What equipment is available for use?

Equipment may be checked out at the front desk to be used in the Wellness Center. Identification cards will be exchanged for equipment check out. Men's and women's basketballs, volleyballs, kickball, pickle ball, frisbee, badminton equipment, football, soccer, racquetball equipment, lacrosse equipment, bean bag toss, ladder ball, floor hockey equipment, yoga and Pilates mats are available for use.


Can I have a permanent locker?

Locker users may provide their own lock or ask for one from the Assistant Dean of Wellness Services and register them with the front desk. Patrons must identify the locker number that they are using, and provide the combination to their lock. All contents from unregistered overnight lockers will be removed at the end of each term.


Are towels available?

Towels may be checked out at the front desk in exchange for a Lawrence identification card. Identification cards will be returned when the towel is checked back in.


I'm not familiar with the Wellness Center. Can someone help me out?

A walk-through orientation session to learn the layout of the facility and how to properly operate equipment is available by contacting the Assistant Dean of Wellness Services.


How do I sign up for the YMCA?

Students only can pick up a YMCA partnership form at the Wellness Center and take the form and their Lawrence ID to membership services at the YMCA to receive 50% off of a young adult membership. Lawrence employees can present their Lawrence ID to the YMCA's membership services office to receive a discount on membership and the sign up fee is waived.

Are classes offered during winter break or summer?

TRX is offered virtually in the summer and over winter break Mondays and Wednesdays. Outside yoga Mondays at 6pm on main hall green.

Are there student jobs available?

Submit an employment application (PDF) if you are interested. Front desk, intramural, healthy viking and life guarding positions available.
