International Connections: New Student Information Submission
All first year students from abroad will be matched with an upperclass student over the summer. This informal international connection will serve as a buddy and a resource to new students over the summer and as they adjust to campus. Students can contact their connection to ask any questions and will meet with them in person after school begins. The international connection can be a great source of information about adjusting to campus, learning about the United States and Appleton, Wisconsin, and learning how to navigate curricular and co-curricular options at Lawrence University. Please complete the following short survey by June 20th, so we can make the best match possible. Matches will be released via e-mail in early July.
The program includes the following expectations:
- Attending International Connections Dinner on Wednesday, September 13 at 6:00 p.m.
- Communicating with or asking questions of your international connection periodically via e-mail over the summer and during the beginning of the fall term as you adjust to campus.
- Understanding that upper class connections have full schedules, so patience may be necesary while waiting for their communication.
- Sharing your interests and learning more about curricular or co-curricular options at Lawrence.
