Third Annual LU Ninjutsu Self-Defense Workshop 2004

Starting on Thursday, January 15th LU Ninjutsu will be offering a series of Self-Defense Workshops, free of charge, to all in the Lawrence Community. Beginning in 2002, LU Ninjutsu has been teaching students, faculty, and staff about effective methods of self-defense and defensive living techniques. Since the beginning, there has been nothing but praise for the teacher and the workshop.

Taught by LU Ninjutsu's instructor, Steve Bryan, and assisted by members of LU Ninjutsu, this series of workshops aims to develop skills for self-defense in dangerous situations and raise awareness for effective methods of defensive living. Supported this year by student groups such as V-Day and The Downer Feminist Council, the three workshops are available for all members of the Lawrence Community, male and female. Although it is strongly encouraged to attend all three classes, and each workshop builds off of skills developed in the previous workshop, you may choose to attend only one or two. Please be sure to sign up on the Rec Center front desk prior to the class. Otherwise, your spot may not be assured.

The three workshops will be thus:
  • Thursday, January 15th
  • Tuesday, January 20th
  • Thursday, January 22nd
Each class will be from 7pm to 9pm in the Rec Center. More details about topics covered in the classes will be posted soon.
