LUPO's
Purpose Statement
Lawrence
University Pagan Organization is an on-campus organization that
is comprised of people of Pagan religions. These religions include:
Wiccan, Norse, Egyptian, Green Witchcraft, Neo-Pagans, Dianic,
Druid, Celtic, and any other earth-based religions. The members
in LUPO strive every year to educate the Lawrence Community and
the surrounding community about Pagan religions and to invite
the communities to experience "alternative" religious
practices.
Every
year, LUPO holds two public rituals: Sahmain (Halloween, usually
held on October 31st) and Beltane (May Day, usually held on May
1st). Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come and participate
in the ancient religious celebrations. Also, for members, we
hold meetings every week, during which we usually hold discussions
of current topics, information sessions, or fun activities like
meditations or energy play. Everyone is welcome to those meetings,
especially people interested in the pagan religions. In addition
to meetings, we offer group full moon rituals or new moon rituals
along with other major sabbats, such as Winter Solstice, Candlemas,
and Spring Equinox. If you have any questions, feel free to contact
any of our members, or the group e-mail address.

- Once all interested
active members have received funding, the remaining funding may
