Fashion Show

We held this event during the 2005 - 2006 school year. Models designed their clothes completely from recycled materials. Apart from being a fundraiser, this event also raises awareness of using recycled items as our local Habitat ReStore does. ReStore is a discount store for new Habitat homeowners to buy household items like furniture and building materials for very low prices.

Disco Ball

Disco Ball is fundraiser we did several years in a row. We turn the Rec Center into a 70s disco, invite students to come dressed in their best 70s outfits, and have a live disco band for the night.

Shack-a-thon

Every spring, Lawrence student organizations have spent a weekend building shacks out of recycled materials to raise money for Habitat. Student organizationss pay a fee to participate in this event. They then build shacks and sleep in them overnight. We provide the entertainment, including music all day long, food, and fun activities.

Photo Show

In 2007, we had a photo show of pictures from the relief work in New Orleans. We also had a silent auction to raise money for Habitat. We then left the pictures up for a week so students could view them when convenient for them.
