Scholarship:

Delta Gamma insists that members view scholastic excellence as an integral part of college life. This does not mean that every member must be a 4.0 scholar, but it does mean that every member places her intellectual curiosity and development on her highest priority list. Delta Gamma collegians are students first and foremost.

Chapters set GPA requirements for members and new members to meet in order to participate in certain phases of chapter life. For Alpha Zeta, it is required that a woman must achieve and hold at least a 2.3 GPA in order to be initiated into Alpha Zeta, be a member in good standing and hold an office.

Our chapter offers many ways to help each member achieve her scholastic potential:

Study Table

booksHeld weekly in the library

Studious Chick of the Week

Each week, a member who has worked exceptionally hard academically is selected and recognized with a small gift

No Skippy Jar

At each meeting, members who have not skipped a class all week place their names into a jar. A name is then picked at random and that girl recieves a prize.

Bookshelf:

Members are encouraged to donate text books that they no longer need to a bookshelf in the DG room for other members to use.

Tutoring:

Members are always available to help one another in their subject(s) of expertise!
